Berliner Funkstunde - 90 Jahre Rundfunk in Deutschland
On 29th October 1923 the “Berliner Funkstunde” programme was broadcast for the first time in Vox-Haus, Potsdamer Strasse 4 . This was the beginning of public broadcasting in Germany. In 1926 the Programme was listened to by over 500.000 listeners. As well as morning exercise in the studio the programme offered discussions, radio plays, concerts and opera broadcasts.
